A generalized space shift keying modulation for molecular MIMO systems

Index modulation utilizes spatial dimensions for transmission of information in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) molecular communication systems. Molecular space shift keying (MSSK) is an IM-based technique that modulates the antenna index and efficiently combats both intersymbol interference interlink MIMO In this paper, generalized form MSSK scheme, is, (GMSSK) proposed which activates a fixed number antennas transmission. The constellation selected judiciously to minimize chances errors GMSSK strategy. Design guidelines are provided case two activated at transmitter side. Exploiting additional degree freedom, presented scheme shown achieve reasonably close or better error performance with smaller array size as compared traditional scheme.
